Increase in scrap price of lead

The following extract has been taken from a Cambridgeshire Constabulary e-cops   e-mail sent week beginning 23rd March 2009:

"It has been brought to our attention that the scrap price for lead has increased again.  The last time this happened many of our churches were targeted and the lead was stolen in large quantities from their roofs.

Please can everyone be on the look out for suspicious activity in and around church yards and report anything that looks out of the ordinary to Cambridgeshire Police on 0845 4564564."
