Who is the Community Initiatives Team?
We are a team working to increase social inclusion throughout Huntingdonshire Link to Meet the Team.
What does the Community Team do?
- Help to identify and prioritise local community projects and initiatives.
- Carry out surveys to find out the needs of the district by asking and involving local residents.
- Link organisations and individuals to make sure that the local community are aware of what resources available to them.
- Co-ordinate community development training, and sharing of information electronically and via Community Initiative information centres.
- Advise groups on how to get money for community projects, including awards from the District Council’s Grant Aid scheme. Please see link on right of this page.
- Work in partnership with other organisations to help streamline services and make it easier to see where gaps exist.
- Improve communications between groups and individuals so that people have as great a chance as possible to get involved in what is happening in their local community.
