Licensing Act 2003


The Licensing Act 2003 has changed the way in which the following activities are licensed in Huntingdonshire they are now the responsibility of the District Council.

  • Retail sale of alcohol
  • Supply of alcohol to club members
  • Provision of regulated entertainment
  • Provision of hot food between the hours of 11.00 pm and 5.00 am.

The Council adopted a Statement of Licensing Policy in respect of the licensable activities. The Statement of Licensing Policy can be viewed within the Linked Documents on this page.

Application forms and notices are available within the Linked Documents on this page to download as PDF files. These forms are as prescribed in the regulations and must be used when making an application.

The completed application form and accompanying documents should be returned to: Licensing Section, Huntingdonshire District Council, Pathfinder House, St.Mary's Street, Huntingdon, Cambs PE29 3TN. If you are paying by cheque please make it payable to Huntingdonshire District Council.

We have provided information for applicants in the form of guidance notes which can also be found within the Linked Documents. Please ensure you read these guidance notes before you complete the relevant application forms.

Temporary Event Notice (TEN)

Guidance notes can be found within the form itself. Further information can be found on the DCMS website through the external links on this page. Please note that two copies of the notice must be received by the licensing section and one by the police at least ten working days before the event, the fee for the notice is £21.00.
