Businesses within Huntingdonshire reflect the different characteristics of the area.

In the south of the district are the buoyant market towns of St Neots, St Ives, Huntingdon and Godmanchester - all of which have a clustering of hi-tech industries and have experienced a steady rate of economic growth.

The north of the district is largely rural.  Ramsey is the main centre of activity and employment is mainly in the agricultural sector with some in small traditional industries.  The national decline in the farming industry has affected many businesses in this area.
